Miffed Kitty Press

Someone once asked me where I had gotten the name "Miffed Kitty Press".

I asked,

"Do you really wanna know?"

After some assurance that they wouldn't think less of me, I explained the following, as simply and bluntly as possible:

My name is Cheshire, and the world seems to like me better when I'm angry.  No matter how nice I am to people, every single day I'm reminded of how others will judge you for your interests, because they're different; hate on you for your talents, because they have none; and try their best to convince you that what you want to accomplish is impossible, because it's too big or too original, or because they have never had an original thought in their life and your's frightens them.  Very few people are encouraging or supportive (not even your family), and fewer still support you by giving direct help to overcome one of the endless hurdles you'll have to face to make your dream a reality.  Through my own struggles, I realize that I'm not the only one... around me is an entire nation of creative people who are fed up because we build the monsters that fuel entertainment, and all our families can ask is "Why can't you make something pretty?"

Why "Miffed Kitty Press"?

Because we want to build a company around talent that feels the same, unhindered by all the bastards who tell us we don't belong or that it can't be done;  Because it's time that we rise, kicking and screaming, until the world sees what we have done and is awed by the scale, grandeur, and the beauty and horror of it all;

...and because it's time that people are entertained by something with teeth and claws.



If you don't like us we'll shred your drapes and pee on something.
